I have created this website to showcase some of the strangest looking and acting trees on the planet. Here you will find a ton of photos of weird trees roughly categorized into nine galleries.
OK, so some of these photos are more stunning than strange, but everything you can see here is out of the ordinary.
I’ve always had an affinity for trees and the natural environment, including getting a degree in forestry, and having a work career in such areas as park planning, forestry youth programs, and community development.
When I retired, I envisaged getting a camera and documenting bizarre trees as I meandered across the landscape. Then covid 19 hit, and no one travelled anywhere. I realized that collecting the photos myself would take maybe decades, but that others had been photographing what I wanted to showcase, and all that was needed was collecting, sorting and displaying other peoples work.
I have collected works primarily from freely posted pictures taken by amateur photographers. I have tried to stay away from the copyrighted works of the very talented professional photographers out there. In most cases, where it was available, I have noted the photographer and location, along with a few strange and bizarre facts about each specimen.
This is a non-monetized site – nobody will be asked to buy anything, or give out personal information.
